meri dilli meri shaan?

its easy to say or write this, but when i try to count the number of things that make me proud of meri dilli i am not able to go beyond my first finger!

the good news is that there is one thing that is being added to this list - the 'new and improved' New Delhi Airport. The GMR-Fraport consortium had already started short-term improvements and will complete the aiport reconstruction by 2010. In addition to improving the looks, the experience and the technical aspects of the airport itself, it will develop an aerotropolis with 8-lane expressway and a high-speed metro line connecting to the city.

I have always commented that delhi airport feels like a chai ki dukaan, especially after you land there coming from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. But, hopefully the small and disjoint palam airport with one functional runway and bad taxiways will be replaced by a swanky state-of-the-art facility that will not require the airlines to hurl over it for 90 minutes before landing.

lage raho munnabhai

this is undoubtedly the first desi sequel that lived up to the expectation after huge success of the original Munnabhai MBBS. Lage raho innovates further and adds new experiences keeping the base characters of munna and circuit. It did not do the mistake of extending the same story and its novelty & screenplay created a laugh riot.

I was a little apprehensive when gandhiji was referred to for the first time, but the flow of the movie kept me going. munna and circuits initial discussion about gandhiji got me off my seat and the imagination fo sanjay dutts picture on the rupee note was just too hilarious. Also among all the giggles and laughs were messages about simple solutions for day-to-day issues. This is a must see for all munnabhai fans and non-fans ...

so, whats next ... munnabhai pahunche america!!!
